MWERA Distinguished Paper Award
The Consortium of State and Regional Educational Research Associations (SRERA) promotes quality research through support of state and regional organizations like the Midwestern Educational Research Association (MWERA). It provides a national forum at the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) to present outstanding research from the state and regional associations.
Beginning with the 2014 MWERA annual meeting, the editors of MWER, along with MWERA’s Association Council, have selected a Distinguished Paper to send to AERA. So far, honored papers have been:
-

Eligible papers are selected from the pool of complete papers uploaded to the MWERA conference website by the last day of the conference. From this pool, one overall Distinguished Paper is selected to represent MWERA at AERA, and is supported by a $150 stipend for registration costs. The paper chosen does not have to go through the AERA review process. This paper will also be eligible for publication in MWER.
In order for MWER editors to access work to be considered for the Distinguished Paper, presenters at the annual MWERA conference must upload a final and complete paper to the association’s https://convention2.allacademic.com/one/mwera/mwera24/ by the last day of the MWERA conference.. In addition, the author or lead author must be able to present the paper at the AERA conference in order to be eligible for this award. The Distinguished Paper awardee will be notified by mid-January, following the fall conference, of the decision.
Publication Opportunities
MWER is interested in all conference papers with good potential for publication. MWER editors will review all complete papers uploaded to the MWERA online conference management system (proposals and incomplete papers are not eligible) and will contract authors regarding interest in the peer-review process and potential publication in MWER. Authors may also submit their manuscripts to MWER through the regular submission process at any time.
If you have any questions about either process, please contact the MWER Editors at MWER1922@gmail.com.You can find more information about MWERA’s Annual Meeting here.
